Pixelmator Pro will also edit videos › jojo Reviews

In addition to focusing on image editing, Pixelmator Pro will also enable video editing in the future. The developers of the application are currently reluctant to give details on this, but a small preview should whet the appetite for the upcoming further development of the software.

The ability to edit videos in Pixelmator Pro should be available with the next major software update. Users can then apply the image editing tools known from Pixelmator Pro to videos as well.

Pixelmator Pro is currently available in version 3.1, which was released earlier this month. In addition to full optimization for macOS 13, this update also added support for the still young image format AVIF (AV1 Image File Format). In addition, with the latest update of the app, working with rounded corners has been improved and the developers have integrated general improvements in terms of program performance, especially with regard to opening files.

An overview of the features added with Pixelmator 3.1 can be found here in the Pixelmator blog. The developers of the app will provide information about the upcoming video feature here.

Pixelmator Pro currently half price

With the announcement of the upcoming video extension, the Pixelmator developers are also pointing out that the app can now be downloaded again for half price. In the Mac App Store, Pixelmator Pro temporarily costs 23.99 euros instead of the 47.99 euros that would otherwise be charged. In connection with the pricing action, the developers also emphasize that the video editing comes as a free update for users of the current version of Pixelmator.

If you want to test the app before purchasing, you can download a trial version from the developer’s website.
