With its GigaTV Net tariff, Vodafone now offers Apple TV 4K, the latest model of Apple’s set-top box, which was presented last November. If you currently order the package, you will receive the WLAN version of the latest Apple TV 4K.
In principle, Vodafone has had the combination of GigaTV Net and Apple TV in its range for over two years now. For a monthly price of 19.99 euros, you get access to currently 54 channels in HD quality and 67 channels in SD quality, as well as on-demand content and media libraries.
Currently 6 months free
As part of an ongoing promotion, Vodafone’s Apple TV bundle is available free of charge for the first six months with a term of 24 months. The regular 19.99 euros only applies from the seventh month, which amounts to a price reduction of 25 percent. As part of the offer, new customers can also enjoy free Apple TV+ for three months.
Apple TV only during the contract period
It is important to know that the Apple TV 4K supplied by Vodafone and the supplied Siri Remote are only on loan for the duration of the contract booking. As described above, you only get the cheaper WLAN version of the set-top box, which is normally available for 169 euros and has no Ethernet connection or support for Thread for Smarthome.
As an optional add-on, the contract can also be extended with the option of using it on another TV set as part of a multi-room option. The monthly surcharge for an extra Apple TV 4K is then 10 euros. If you are satisfied with a GigaTV Net Box, you have to pay an extra 5 euros per month.
Vodafone offers a dedicated app for Apple TV to access its own content. In addition, the offer can also be used on the go via the regular GigaTV app on up to three mobile devices.
