Serif, makers of design apps Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo, and Affinity Publisher, are ending sales of their all-in-one bundle. Today, the second versions of the applications can still be purchased as a universal license for the introductory price of 119.99 euros, after which the normal price will be 199.99 euros.
Affinity V2’s universal license not only includes all three applications, but also the ability to use them across platforms on Mac, Windows, and iPad. The purchase is therefore particularly suitable for people who want to use all three applications and also want to use them on, for example, the Mac and the iPad.
Those who focus only on separate areas, such as image processing or working with vector graphics, are generally better off with the separate versions of the programs. The Mac apps from the Affinity product line are currently available individually for $49 each and normally cost $85 each, while the iPad versions cost $15 each. The programs can be downloaded for free from Apple’s app stores or downloaded as a desktop version directly from the developers.

In terms of pricing, the developers of the Affinity applications continue to follow the classic purchase model. The new version 2 is the first paid update to the programs some seven years after the launch of the first Affinity apps and can be used without a time limit after purchase and including future updates. The developers will not add any new features for the previous first version of the applications, but they do want to eliminate as far as possible any critical issues that may have occurred.
In version 2, the Affinity apps have been thoroughly revised and present themselves not only with a completely new interface, but also with numerous tools and functions.
